Dogma | 25th Anniversary

Faith is a funny thing.
For 25 years, Kevin Smith’s smart and subversive modern classic has been notoriously difficult to see on the big screen. To celebrate its anniversary, Dogma is finally returning to the big screen in a stunning new 4K restoration.

Bethany Sloane’s faith is dead, until the Voice of God appears in her bedroom with an impossible mission. Two exiled angels, Bartleby (Ben Affleck) and Loki (Matt Damon), have discovered a theological loophole in a New Jersey church that will grant them readmission to Heaven—but at the cost of unmaking all of creation.

As the last living relative of Christ, Bethany must stop them. Her only allies are a crew of biblical cast-offs and unwitting prophets, and her only real weapon is her own doubt. Kevin Smith’s Dogma is a darkly comedic road trip through the absurd underbelly of theology, a journey that asks what it means to believe when faced with the messy, hilarious, and heartbreaking reality of the divine.
